3D PDF Maker is the perfect tool that allows to create PDF documents with interactive 3D content (such as leaflets, manuals, assembly instructions, presentations, product sheets etc.) in a quick and easy way and with no specific knowledge of 3D whatsoever. In an assembly or part file, click File Export 3D PDF. In the Publish 3D PDF dialog box, select model properties to include in the 3D PDF. Tip: To exclude all properties that are blank, click Select All Fields with Values. Select design view representations of the model to include in the 3D PDF. To indicate whether a design view is included in 3D PDF export by default, set the Publish property.
To share construction documents with other team members for printing and online viewing, you can save them to PDF (Portable Document Format).
- Click (Print).

- In the Properties dialog, define settings for the PDF print driver as desired, and click OK.
- To print only the sheet or view in the drawing area:
- Under Print Range, select Current Window to print the entire view or sheet that currently displays in the drawing area, or select Visible Portion of Current Window to print the part of the view or sheet that currently displays in the drawing area.

- For Name, specify the name and location of the resulting PDF file. If needed, click Browse and navigate to the target folder. If you are generating multiple PDF files, the specified file name is used as a prefix. It is appended with the names of the selected views and sheets.
- If you are printing multiple pages and you want them to print in reverse order, under Options, select Reverse Print Order.
- To change print settings, under Settings, click Setup.
- When you are ready to print, click OK.

Create Custom 3D PDF Templates
The 3D PDF templates are by default saved in the Templates location specified in the active project. For the default project, the location is C:UsersPublicDocumentsAutodeskInventor 2017Templates<language>.
A 3D PDF template includes two types of elements: - Static elements, for example: Static text, images, property fields, and 3D model views. Static elements can be customized using the editing tools available in Adobe Acrobat Pro.
- Dynamic and interactive elements, for example: Interactive BOM lists, view carousels, and print options. Dynamic and interactive elements are generated by a script. The script is edited in an external xml editor and embedded to the 3D PDF template.
